Tuesday 21st February 2012 --

Unfortunately you missed our message on our website’s contact page. It has been posted there since 22 November 2011.

Air Australia International P/L has been a flying school and a charter company for over 20 years. We are not the company you are looking for. I repeat we are not the company you are looking for.

Strategic Airlines renamed itself to Air Australia in September-October of 2011 and started offering cheap flights to foreign and domestic destinations. And the Australian Securities Commission, a Government Department in charge of registering names, would not and will not stop anyone from using anyone else’s company name unless the original company can prove the new company is damaging the original company. Basically it is government sanctioned “Company Identity Thief”.

Lots of people have been contacting us about complaints about this other Air Australia’s flights and now are trying to get their money back. If you think they and you are unhappy, just consider that it seems every complaint comes to my company not theirs.

If you want to contact them go to www.airaustralia.com.

Their CEO’s name is David Blake.

Their main office is located at Level 1, 5-7 Boronia Road, Brisbane International Airport. Their telephone number is +61 (0) 7 3169 3900 and FAX number is +61 (0) 7 3169 3901.

We are still only a flying school and air charter company.

It is too bad all the people that were taken advantage of did not head the old adage “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” .

This is not the first time something like this has happened. About 10-12 years ago a company calling themselves Air Australia World Travel offered $99 Return flights to Bali from various places in Australia. This new Air Australia has all the markings of them. As far as I know, no one made it to Bali but lots of people called me bitchin’ and wanting their money back after that company disappeared overnight with all their money.

I could only offer to those irate folks, “Fools and their money are easily separated.” And now it has happened again.

I don’t know if you will ever contact the “new/ other (?) Air Australia”, But if you do get them I am sure you will be disappointed.

I have now given you everything I know. I am sorry about your problem but neither my company nor I had anything to do with it so do not write me about your problems.
